Once upon a time there was a girl who grew into a woman. She was intelligent for a woman of the 15th century, but intellect only got her so far. This woman grew into an old woman that was like every other, but that doesn't mean that she wasn't different.
The woman was killed slowly after contracting the Black Death at the age of fifty-seven.
She's fortunate. In those days they rarely lived to fifty seven.
ReplyDeleteThe average life expectancy was 40, but that was because infant mortality was high. Fifty seven was not unheard of.
